I have extreme mixed feelings about rezef. I hate him so much for doing all that bad things to cayena, but I also feel so sorry for him cuz of his childhood. still, what he did wasn't the right thing, there's another options that he could've done, but because he's a child he wasn't able to take the right path because there's no one (adult) to look after him when he was a kid. rezef isn't the only one at fault here, it's the emperor.
that shitty emperor, and the ones who manipulated rezef in their previous life. it's understandable that the emperor would hate the kid born from an affair, but, parents (everyone) needs to remember that a kid wasn't the one who choose whether to be born or not, blame the mother and father, but shouldn't blame a child who had no idea of what sin their parents commit.

after cayena disappeared infront of her brother, rezef started to realize (?) what he had done, and badly wanted to apologize to cayena. but then the emperor learn that cayena is a witch (has magic) and wanted cayena's blood because witches blood are believed to allow you to stay young if consumed. rezef, learned that and wasted no time, walked into the emperor's room and killed him there, not caring what would happen cause all he wanted was no one to touch/harm his sister. rezef who was supposed to have death sentence for killing the emperor was deducted to just having to strip off his noble title and living as ordinary civilian cause of kedrey's help. rezef, still haven't had a chance to apologize to cayena, sent letters to her apologizing, and not meeting her since cayena disappeared infront of him. cayena only reads his letters and doesn't respond to them.

Dude I get you so bad. I feel so bad for rezef. He wouldn’t have turned out the way he did had the emperor not treated him the way he did. It’s just so sad bc I look at him n I see what he could’ve been had he been raised with love and care. It’s just so sad because it really shows how evil is created by the means of another persons evil. He makes me so sad. But I also can’t forgive him for what he did because cayena gave him so many chances. He’s just such a truly complex and pitiful character.
