it doesn't really translate to the gen z way of using 'i swear to god' as a way of expressing frustration... it does mean 'i swear to god' but it is a religious term that means swearing by allah literally
honestly its disrespectful to the religion to use it as slang in the first place as its meant to be an expression of faith, but i understand most people are doing that now and its difficult to avoid using if youre a consumer, obviously
your sentence would have been correct if you were literally 'swearing' that you were telling the truth, or emphasising a fact you believe, as opposed to just expressing anger or frustration like the westernised interpretation
