Tbh the premise could work if we tweaked it a little and had crueller authors. Giving OP skills to a guy that wants to be OP? Boring. Make him really pull so many truly useless skills that he just has to confront the reality of never becoming OP and just goes levels up normally or goes and seeks OP stuff manually through other means unrelated to his useless revival skills dunno
