I loved this primarily because of the prequel. That first book was awesome! Like detective conan, it was wild. I didn’t even mind that it wasnt a BL the. But I must say I love how the author progressed it from colleagues (prequel) to lovers (this story) with this addition of an ex-wife. What I don’t understand though was why the Kuraiwo brought in Asako to the murder scene of his ex wife? I understand unit 6 was only brought in after the precinct couldn’t get anywhere with their case as a sort of reference. But Kuroiwa brought him in even before the forensics came in.
Then afterwards he actively wanted to remove Mari’s lingering thoughts from Asako.
When did he fall in love with Asako? Why did he say that he was falling in love for the first time in 20 years? Did he never love Mari? Did Mari knew that, that’s why she left him?
