I just read on random sites cuz I'm a freak
But you can try ao3, book toki, novel updates..
Wattpad used to be gud but now it's just a mess because of the tons of ads and not to mention most stories being awful awful awful wishing you were dead b4 u read typa stories lol Amen
For real life books try sites like libgen and z lib, both r extremely good source and till now I've NEVER got any problems like virus or stuff

Tbh I wish mgo will make a domain for novels too lol just like mangaiwl haha

its basically a site where translation teams track their uploads. so there is a variety of novels that are uploaded by different translators, and the translators link their uploads in the 'chapter' section of the site (usually theyre hyperlinked with the chapter number).

some other sites i read on are: knoxt (primarily chinese novels) and bellereservoir (primarily korean novels). if youre looking for regular english novels, though, id reccomend zlibrary to download books (if you do, go to their reddit page for the real site since there are a lot of copycat sites w malware)
