..you do realize that there are manga/manhwa that have drama and angst and shit (and yes, sometimes abuse etc) in which the mc DOESN'T end up with their abuser? and that don't treat abuse, manipulation and rape as ways to show your love? just because that is a common trope in yaoi doesn't make it less garbage imo, but to each their own i guess?
