I dont even know if ill feel pity for this mfo but for once i want this guy to put his shit together because what he doing right now is digging his grave even further. He got true friends and people actually wanting him to be intact but he insists on placing wall around him. Now he got something to chase, he’s loss and a mess. Boundaries my ass, he’s crossing everything but stopping. I agree, his backstory is sad, it made me guilty seeing him suck his thumb to cope. There’s a reason of why he is that way. Regardless, what he did is not forgiving that even Nanjo found it ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, i like messed up tops. Mokyeon eats one of the cake slice, just hope Nanjo stays as he is and dont magically become a submissive or forgiving — he also have a reason to be mad
Man how is this shit gonna end up, im genuinely staying just to see how this relationship develops like
Arjen seems to take interest on mc for being “frail”, probably because of his mom or something being in a similar case. Maybe he takes care of ill/injured people as a way to repay his mother or remind himself of his mother. Perhaps the reason why he took interest of Lorin in the main plot was due to him being literally frail, but since mc technically diverged the plot, the attention landed on him. I can’t be so sure if they’re end game but let’s be fr, the story is dark and I’m not going to be fooled with those silly moments—I wonder how they will even work with this Obsessive boss and “frail” servant trope.
It’s gonna be something like “Oh, hes (mc) more than what meets the eye”. Though I have high hopes for this. If I’m honest, ELLIOT IS THE MOST UKE EVER, id eat his ASS FOR DAYS. Arjen stronger than me cause I would’ve made him birth sextuplets or more to fill a stadium, God I love his puppy face so much I want to see him cry

It just amazes me how a wholesome story can turn sour with just one piece of shit.
There are two types of dog lovers:
1) Those who genuinely love dogs they provide their needs, and 2) those who want dogs just for show. And I hope, most of us fall under the first category or don’t get a dog at all.
Dohyeon falls under the second category.
I can’t say I hated this story, but I didn’t like it that much either because of a certain someone. Dohyeon made me physically recoil every time he does something, he’s just weird and genuinely creepy. The ending doesn’t do it justice, he should’ve been behind bars or a glimpse of him in the court. It made me so terrible that Max didn’t feel any anger towards his owner, only sincere understanding to why he is that kind of person—and it makes sense which hurts more. I’m glad that Max, thankfully, ended up with seungyu but we all knew it’ll happen. I just didn’t like how under those 20-ish chapters it somehow got worse day by day because Max doesn’t have a clue about Dohyeon’s horrible acts. When he met Seungyu, he learnt many of firsts with him on an underlying tone of affection. I’m a little pissed that it took him so long to realize (Dohyeon’s abuse), but he’s a dog, I can’t be mad at him for being a little slow. He was controlled for like 80% of his life. I’m relieved he started gaining independence and more control of his life by the end, I liked that ending and I could see what the author was trying to get at.
Good read! Although it would make you thrash your body around and scream because of anger. Their lack of support (people to help them) made me frustrated, but they did gain some (the black dog and the two other girls, love them) that drove this story to flying colors. Would read more of this author’s work! I was just pissed off of Dohyeon, but if we’re focusing on Seungyu and Samsam’s lovey dovey lives, it’s pretty wholesome and funny!
Well tbf he was brainwashed into thinking that the way he was being treated is affection and that he deserved it. That’s why his time with the vet made him realize affection/actual love shouldn’t hurt. And even though it’s annoying he took so long to notice, we gotta keep in mind, Max solely turned human because of how much he cared for that asshole. It’s good he managed to escape though. We don’t get much context for the ass hat after but like many stories, I like to assume he faced the law even if it wasn’t shown. (Especially since he saved that explicit videotape.)
