It was a story where the omega at one point got bitten/bonded with an alpha but he wasn't really in love with the alpha. He was in love with another alpha (or a beta, I can't remember...) but their relationship didn't really work. I think the omega wanted to be bonded so bad that he allowed the other alpha to bit him, so he could have the bond. But he regretted the bond because he couldn't be happy with the alpha. He got back together with the other alpha/beta but they couldn't have sex because the omega's body rejected the other man and he always got sick. Then the omega decided that he wanted to have the medical procedure that would break the bond and it worked but couldn't bond again and his life expectancy was cut really short. I think the doctors gave him about a year before he would die.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I think Romantic Joutou has a similar idea but it's not that.

I would love to read more subverse bl stories. I don't mean role-playing dom and sub, but dom and sub as secondary genders like alphas and omegas are in omegaverse.
