I actually think it’s fun how seme rlly gives no fucks abt uke. It adds to his cold and psychotic character while also adding onto the enemies to lovers troupe.

They aren’t actually enemies though, Sihyeon hates seme because of the abuse, but if not for that, they would have a minimal connections, so it’s more like abuser and victim to lovers, if anything. And most dynamics like this end up with the abuser catching feelings and randomly stopping the abuse, and the victim randomly forgiving everything because of the power of love. Stuff like that does happen in real life (extremely rarely), but I’ve never seen it written in a realistic way where the victim’s choice reflects their psychological battery and trauma, rather than simply focusing on making the victim seem happy so the abuser’s “development” and the couple itself are accepted by the readers

Definitely. I feel like they had much more of a rivals/enemies feel to them though, since although a victim, mc is clear about his need to kill him. He’s being abused yes, but he withstands it with a purpose behind it, so it gives off more of a enemies/lovers , ykyk
