The origin of these kind of genre ( yaoi/bl) is from the east. Korean and Japanese women suffered a lot from violence from men. As you can see why many yaoi / yuri got a lot of problematic content like non-con / ra*e. Since it’s is not from LGBTQ community in the first place. It’s from a straight women who suffered from men violence and decided to write or draw yaoi genre. Ofcourse things changed since it became so popular. But deep down the root still like that.
