I couldn't suspend my disbelief enough over the tattoo story. Because your parents owe money we're going to give a child a free whole side tattoo?? And its going to be pretty and not chicken scratch??

I'm not sure if you wanted a serious reply to your comment but, tattoos are very discriminated against in Japanese society, especially by anything older than the current youth. The person who bought him as a child probably had a sick twisted side by being happy he'd have ruined a beautiful innocent child's future as he made the tattoo so big.
Like the mangaka said in their notes, Satomi would have had to hide the tattoo his entire life (always wearing long shirts no matter how hot, begging out of swim class, not being able to go on overnight school trips, etc ) if he didn't want to have to face the gossiping, bullying, and missed opportunities in life due to him having an enormous tattoo especially at a young age.
I think the tattoo is beautiful as well but it's less how it looks and more of what it means in a society that prizes conformity.

This is driving me nuts- trying to find a BL manga/manhwa with a specific scene I remember.
It was after the 2 mcs had sex, one of them basically had a gay awakening and the dialogue was him saying something about how he had no idea being with someone could feel so good... or something more poetic.
Anyways if someone knows what I'm taking about based on this very small bit of info, you're a wizard and deserve all my positive vibes.
