I read from wikia that they became " cultivation partners (married) " and they even adopted a child (dunno about this tho). But they did become cultivation partners which was labeled as married within brackets, dunno how should i interpret it. But they swore to be together ceremonially, probably thats what it meant.

I read the full updated chinese version, they didn't "get married" but they started living together and whatnot. About the child part, (spoiler!!!!!!!)












there was a part about them with a child, but that was in the past, in the present, the kid has already grown up (he's appeared already actually, can you guess who he is~?)

The child is the mild mannered one. You know who already ;) also... there are pretty fantastic fanmade videos in yt showing the actual scenes you wanted, like the marrying thingy. And the confession scene. I remember the very first fanmade gdc video I watched also have amazingly in character voice actors alongside the actual scenes (they used some kind of video game to make every glorious sequence possible) and boi was I caught hook, line and sinker. I can't find the video on yt anymore, but I did on bilibili since almost every fanmade video of gdc you can find on yt was originally from there. Beware tho, LOOOOTS OF SPOILERS. Spoilers galore. There's no ceremony afaik (at least in the version that I read) but LWJ mentioned it that they're already "married couple" or "husband & wife" in the part where they're talking about stealing wallet.

Of course he's going to be a polite kid with Lan Wanji as dad.

and yea, it's not that he met wu xian when he was the yiling patriarch, it's more on the part that wu xian took him in and took care of him ever since he was born, but due to a high fever, he forgot a lot of things when wu xian died as the yiling patriarch and wang ji found him and took him in (if i remember correctly, he was 3 at the time). saddest part is his courtesy name which was given by wang ji, shizui. in chinese shizui means "to chase after".

THEY DO GET MARRIED. AND QUITE CEREMONIALLY. Listenting to all sorts of fanmade stuff, mtl stuff, referring to the t/n i found some info. Wwx once said "We knelt to heaven and earth........." and also "You are the husband..... "But the fact is kneeling to heaven and earth is one of the three kneels during marriage. And cultivation partners does refer to married couple, cause all the Lan clan's husband and wife were refrred to as "cultivation partners".

I dunno if it matters since this post was so long ago but they go through a traditional chinese ceremony by bowing 3 times in front of WuXian's adopted parents which as I understand it means they are married. WuXian mentions it in the extras I think? They are officially married
