THANK GOD SOMEONE'S LOOKING FOR NOVEL RECOMMENDATIONS AAAAAA I've got 2. They're actual books, but rather than yaoi, I'd call say they lean more toward male/male romance.

1. The Song of Achilles - It's based on The Iliad by Homer and it's a romantic take on Achilles and Patroclus. In greek mythology they're often discussed either as best friends or cousins which, neither are true, it's just historians trying to deny the fact that they were most probably lovers. It's so good and so heartbreaking, seriously. If there's a m/m book you have to read, this is it. I swear. Also, if you know what happens in The Iliad then you already know just how sad this is gonna be. Please look it up I swear you won't regret it.

2. Captive Prince - This one's a trilogy so if you're in for the long haul and you want something to read for days, please read this. It's one of my favorites. It's about a prince, Damen, who gets sent to the another kingdom's prince, Laurent, whose brother he killed. The pining in this one is insane. A little heads up though, this one discusses slavery and pedophilia (it's not romanticized), and it's not just about romance. There's political discourse in this since it's about the princes of two kingdoms, some amazing war scenes, and Damen and Laurent's dynamics develop so well throughout the trilogy. The other characters are amazing too, and the side stories, uGH *chefs kiss*

Okay so its not a manga or anime but my god it's an adorable series. There's like 32 episodes and its so cute,especially the mc. It's called My Girlfriend's Boyfriend. All episodes on YouTube.

Okay, this is probably not what you want because it's in no way similar because this is a darker, very mature plot and with a heavy focus on psychological characters but -- as many readers from both stories have noticed Li Huan from 'Here U Are' reminds them a lot of Doumeki from 'Saezuru Tori Wa Habatakanai ' ... both physically and in temperament. A stoic, physically powerful man that has a very sweet side and a pure/honest attitude. Well, Doumeki stoic outward behavior contrasts with a very passionate, sometimes aggressive side and we haven't see this in LiHuan yet but probably LiHuan still going to show what lies beneath his impassible face too. Anyway, if you never read it and wants to give a chance, check it out because Doumeki does look like it could be LiHuan's big brother. :)
