this is a good story. idk why the psychological tag isnt here cause the story does a good job in illustrating the sort of mindset that the mc is in. when hes out of the mansion, there’s a sense of freedom, when he’s in the mansion (esp w the dad) he feels chained. the scenes where the artist implies the PTSD he’s facing due to the years of abuse he faced is so well done. also i saw a few comments saying “the son is becoming his dad” and i can kind of see it, but imo i think its the mc who’s mistaking that fact. he’s so used to serving the dad (bc hes the master of the house), now that the son is the master it makes it hard for him to differentiate the two. its the son who’s trying his best to not act like his dad. anyways lol i never comment i was scared this was gonna be some kind of love triangle but it really isnt. the dad was never a love interest, he was just an abusive asshole.
also to add on i see ppl saying “why cant he just run away?” cause yeah he can totally just run away. the thing is that the matter isn’t just a physical thing. he’s not literally chained to the mansion, but the mansion is all that he knows. he’s in debt, he’s been serving the mansion ever since he was young, and no matter how much he may despise the memories the mansion gives he’s greatly attached to it.
i know its never gonna happen but i’d kill for a soojin side-story she really is a breath of fresh air bc she’s literally the “reasoning” of the whole cast and i think it’d b rlly interesting to see her perspective to her own story
