The fortress arc was so underwhelming. Even their reunion was lackluster. Idk, am I the only one disappointed? I was hoping for so much more
I felt the same way too! It could’ve been much deeper & carried more weight but it felt rushed and & underwhelmed.
Also, Maomao being so uninterested in him makes me uneasy, especially when he’s being so forward. It all feels so anticlimactic
don’t worry maomao just has a very hard time recognizing emotions due to how she was brought up, their relationship develops a LOT further in the light novels
