this is literally a different time period and era.. did ya'll miss the part where people get engaged when they're twelve... and don't forget we saw his memories he sees her as a child still not a romantic interest, but she is of age now in that world so if they do end up together there's nothing wrong with it... they aren't related in anyway either so....lol there's worse things to complain about on this site lol
The girls were clearly uncomfortable by their 12 year old friend being married to an adult though, so why wouldn’t they also find an adult falling for a woman he has helped raised weird?

I’m commenting my, yes personal, opinion on this specific manga, doesn’t matter if there are weirded ones out there. exactly that's something worth complaining about lol calling the guard disgusting over what? as of right now even though they're both adults no romantic or sexual interest has been shown between them at all when she was a child... but if they were to fall in love it wouldn't be grooming at all, feelings are fickle and can grow out of nowhere not stemming from anything creepy lol and again they are both adults he's in his mid 20s its not like he's 40, and he also he didn't raise her he wasn't her nanny nor did he show any familial love towards her, NOR did he have ill intentions his only job was to guard her so again not grooming, seems like you need to google what grooming means oor read the story again

15 is the legal age in my country. I find a 20+ year old interested in a 15 year old disgusting. 20 years old should keep themselves to at least 18+. Also, I don’t think legal age is a valid argument, a 13 year old is a child, the laws of the country don’t matter

Although I understand the time period argument it’s still a made up world and in this story the girls are clearly uncomfortable when discussing their child friend marrying an adult, so I don’t agree with the argument

I can’t even finish this. It’s appalling. I think it’s fine to include rape in stories if it’s clearly shown that rape is something bad, something horrifying and life ruining. Minjae barely reacts when it’s happening, he even seems to enjoy it, though it’s obvious to be rape. (He does react later when he shows trauma, but that’s barely enough of a reaction of getting raped). And Hyeongjo is a full on rapist, not only before their relationship but during it! He literally keeps having sex with Minjae whilst Minjae is falling in and out of consciousness. I’m actually horrified by how many of you think this is some cute relationship, I don’t believe you can be in a non-toxic relationship with someone who’s raped you, especially not as many times as Hyeongjo had raped Minjae. Fuck this shit, it’s gross. #MeToo

Maybe calm yourself, there is no wrong reaction to rape, everyone is different. Do you want him to just fall apart and be a sobbing mess, is that the "right" way to deal with rape? Plus, the whole conscious, unconscious thing, Min wasn't upset with it, so it's hard to really call that rape.
What I’m saying is that the author isn’t showing that rape is horrifying, that’s what i’m angry with. They just keep letting it pass. They just keep having Minjae be all fine with it, that’s a very unusual reaction to getting raped. Im not saying he should kick and scream during the act, but there should be some sort of reaction afterwards. How would Hyeongjo know that Min was fine with it during the whole unconscious, conscious thing? He doesn’t. Maybe Min was fine with it after it happened. But what if it acted out different? What if Min wouldn’t be fine with it? He couldn’t express anything when it happened, it would’ve been rape. That’s why Hyeongjo is a rapist.
I mean, it’s barely even acknowledged that Min is getting raped. We as readers see it. Even if Min doesn’t understand that he got raped there should at least be some sort of reaction

Every reaction is valid (which is what I think you actually mean) but that doesn’t mean every reaction is right and good for that person. E.g. “I just got raped and now I’m going to kill myself.” or something relevant, “I’m getting into a relationship with my rapist.” Panda’s point was that rape is a BAD thing, (yes rape is bad) and should be treated as such. But here rape was used as a necessary tool to kick the relationship into gear, which makes it I guess, not so much of a bad thing.

I think that Minjae is actually a masochist.
In the first chapter Hyeongjo is threatening him and pushing him against the wall. As reaction, Minjae gets flustered and embarassed.
In chapter 3, Hyeongjo threaten Minjae again, choking him and telling him how he looks like a girl. As reaction, Minjae gets hard.
This seems different from the usual dumb romanticized rape yaoi.
It seems like Hyeongjo is threatening Minjae, Minjae gets aroused by that, Hyeongjo gets aroused by the aroused Minjae, they have kinda rape sex.
But everybody reacts different to rape, some are traumatized by it, others are more fine. And as a M, you can even enjoy it.
(Not every M has the same kinks, but I can affirm that some M would enjoy rape)
