Some readers just see the world black and white istg, 'TJ is red flag', 'Jo is Green', can some of ya'll comprehend you can't be 100% nice 100% bad, people are complex creatures, generalising them to good and bad is just ignorance. I knew TJ and Ian would be endgame from the start, even some part of their relationship is toxic they know each others best and worst better than most people, and sometimes people want what knows them best instead of someone "green flag".Even if Jo was endgame Ian wouldn't be able to forget TJ till the day he dies, same goes for TJ, they are each others other half
I like Jo as a character he really is nice and considerate, hope he finds his happines
The problem is it was promised to be a story about exploring the trauma and giving the characters growth but the author forgets to explore that for tj. I was rooting for him, but the way the author wrote him so lackluster when doyak said we'd know who the endgame was around chap 85 or so, i was convinced it's jo because he was the only character representing freedom from the past for Ian, and all the while the panels keep talking about "did u expect u'd get everything you want?" For TJ. I was expecting his redemption arc, or his punishment, or him repenting, or any consequences at all for the 20 yrs of pain but nothing happens. Bro does, in fact, get everything he wants. For 20 years of trauma inflicted on his lover, I expecting tj to atleast pay something, but doyak is not capable of writing a compelling ml, tj is just the typical korean bl top, all abuse is forgiven because he is true love. I wish less people focused on which ml "won" and more on how terrible the story ended up being.

you hit all the points. the story was simply bad written and i couldn’t take that many still opposes to this statement just because they are too blinded with the so called endgame. it was just so anticlimactic and dyk seemed to lost her spark in wrapping it up. kudos for the great art tho, but story wise it was really just a nothingburger

I disagree. This is the talking point of your own personal feelings and not what was in the story. You mean to tell me you read season three and couldn't tell the apathy Ian was developing towards his relationship with Jo? That he no longer spoke romantically of him and most of the time just expressed remorse and regret of being unable to love him. The problem here is y'alls ethics and ideals which have nothing to do with the story. You really thought a gang leader was going to get 10-20 in jail? Y'all thought Ian an ex criminal in love with a criminal would hold tj to normal civilian standards? Ian has shown a soft spot for tj from the very beginning and y'all thought he wouldn't fold hearing that love confession? If it was a soft bottom I'd get it but not Ian. Y'all give this man a character arc he never had. He was never the soft delicate bottom y'all wanted. I find it weird how that the only way y'all can articulate his character in favour of Jo. Iae was an ex gangsta that only stopped doing gangsta shit when he accepted his own feelings for tj. All that time spent with Jo and he still threatened to kill people in tj's name. Jo may have looked like he could change Ian but the truth is he didn't do that. His presence alone dragged Ian back emotionally to a place he thought he'd left behind. You can't blame Ian for not wanting to be with Jo after season three. Jo was supposed to be an escape from that gangsta world and when the novelty wore off Ian simply didn't want that anymore. It may hurt to hear but that is what is in the story. Leaving the gang life always Ian's prerogative he needed incentive not hand holding. The incentive ultimately was the telling him he wants to go home.
You say it yourself doyak said Ch 85 we'd know who endgame is and you forget to mention who Ian was thinking about at that time. Even the chapters preceding 85 who was Ian with and thinking about? Not Jo. The story never supported Jo being end game and season three shows that clearly. Ian rejects him three fucking times in this season, in the beginning Ch 71, then when he left only leaving him a not saying sorry in 79 and finally 97. How can you pretend that didn't happen or you just thought that wasn't Jo being rejected? Even when we apply real life morals someone rejecting you three times in a short period of time is indicative of how checked out they are of whatever y'all have going on. Y'all just ignored that. Remember it's was never about how good Jo was it was always about what Ian wanted. Jo could have been heaven sent with absolutely no flaws and Ian would probably still choose tj. Y'all forget just how selfish Ian actually is especially when it comes to TJ. TJ could let go of Ian which he did btw but Ian could never let go of TJ and that is made throughout the series heavy in season 2 and 3.

"you forget how selfish ian is when it comes to tj" and he had a gun to his head because the gang and tj made him want to end it all it's is your character reading and personal preference. Evil abusive tops are dime a dozen and its okay if YOU prefer stories where the abused forgive their abusers.
Notice how u never mention tj's growth or development in this story it's just your reading of what you think ian wanted? Because there wasn't any character development of tj at all
And if u wanna look at a perspective thats does not sound like stockholm syndrome, Ian wanted jo, but doesn't believe he deserves him, that's why everything tj does now is what jo did in the past. Opens a resturant like jo's aunt, wears the same exact clothes as jo when jo went to visit him, that why he thinks of jo when he star gazes, that's why he recreates very single thing about the comfort and joy that jo gave him with tj, because without jo, ian wouldve been back in that dingy room thinking about taking his own life. You can love tj man, but bro has zero arc, bro only has smut scenes and abuse to his name. I still remember him being gleeful when ian's mom died because he said "it would be just us now". Even ian was weirded out. Ian only rejects jo because he doesn't want jo to be ruined by him. He doesn't want jo to weild a gun and put himself in the same world that made him want to end it all.

And idk who u talking to, u imagined so many things about ian and jo when I wasn't even talking about them this is wat I was talking about, u can't step back from stan wars to see how the full manhwa just has typical prime time television drama level of depth.

Why you insulting over my opinion. Y'all are ride over 2d characters is jarring. Get help on being a paradoxical weirdo. I stand on what I said. Tj's development was always there even in how he dresses now vs the beginning. Y'all hate his character so much you injected your own ideals that never even mattered. And this apology stuff when did Ian say he wanted an apology and a good man that fits y'alls standards? When did he ever want TJ to be something he is not. Y'all fail to comprehend the simple fact that tj's development just like Ian's was the ability to be honest with oneself all these other stuff were delusions conjured by delusional fans. Y'all aren't even readers just misguided fans.

This is making me laugh "tj's development is how he dresses" good heavens and guess what tj's drip in the epilogue is the same outfit that jo wore when he went to meet him. Go check the chapters it's the exact same, bro skinwalking jo now. And why are u talking about ian like he's real? The very human and real author literally mentions in her notes that she wanted a story about development and growth for the characters who have been through trauma, I am literally only upset that the author talked big but didn't do any of the shit she promised.

"in love with joseph landi" tells me all i need to know , your opinion is obviously biased, it's okay to love a character but calling story writing bad bc ur fav wasn't endgame is reaching somehwere that isn't there. and author can change her story however she wants, don't forget we're pirating her works, being that entitled to something is parasocial man
