Rashta had a lot of unforgivable s*** happen to her but that girl had street smarts. She manipulated her surroundings and in the end let power get to her head. Navier just wanted to ignore her in the beginning but it was Rashta that forced her into a cat fight.
Of course nothing happend to the men, it is set in a patriarchal time period created by an author living in a patriarchal country. That's pretty historically accurate.
