I was fond of this story so I decided to read the novel which turned to be a big mistake(in my case.) I dropped the novel but I can't anymore relate to one of my favorite manhwas cuz of changes and modifications. What should I do
I think the overall atmosphere has been changed. The novel was somehow dark and gloomy (in my opinion.) Ex: 1st commander was not worried about soldiers etc. He was the accomplice of the war profiteer. It conveyed the pure sense of treason. And, Ashler was not soft at all. Ex: Abel is touched that Karas stayed beside him then kiss and blah blah. How can I cheer for their kiss when I know that Karas had slaughtered almost every doctor nurse and person who was unable to save Abel. How does this make him better than the council to rule over the people?
Tbh it wasn't the cruelty it was Abel excusing Karas for brutal horrible things with 0 work on Karas's part. It gets really graphic with SA between and it generally doesn't handle mature topics with grace. I LOVE game of thrones and it's WAAAY worse but it doesn't try apologizing for horrible people. If the SA and murder weren't romanticized I would be there for the novel, grit and all.
Most are randos that are there just to assault him. The one that was the worst was with the ML it is extremely graphic dubcon that describes how Abel feels scared and in pain. There was one where he was abducted by soldiers and they try to gang r*** him. There are points in the Manga that show people lusting after Abel and most of the imagine assaulting him or try to. There are more that I can't remember and I dropped it at the ML dubcon scene so there were definitely more after.
I really enjoyed reading this story. So I decided to read the novel and well... I appreciate how they modified this scene in the manhwa. Not that I have any troubles with blood or violence. Just it was so dark. The mother started to talk when Karas decided to take her little daughter's eye out. It was kinda disappointing.

Can someone plz explain me the contract part? i didn't get why they sign it and why he has to do the guiding
That question bothered me so much I actually had to go and read that part in the novel.
As it is with novel adaptations, a lot of things get left out.
So: the Gye family needs alpha seeds to get a guide from the Ji family for the young lady. Wonwoo "has" alpha seeds and Hwang would be the middle man.
What was not shown in the Manhwa: making alpha seeds is dangerous.
Chief Jung tries to persuade Hwang by telling him a sob story about how the young lady really needs it. That didn't work even though he's such a softie because Wonwoo is also important to him. Then Hwang asks about Yoon Gye's situation and Chief Jung nonchalantly tells him how they have to use drugs to sedate him because of the risk of him going on a rampage. Hwang knows Yoon Gye and sympathizes (because he knows him and Yoon helped clear his debt so the loan sharks wouldn't continue going after him to make him take on more debt) and because he also knows someone who could help with that (Wonwoo) he proposes the deal.
The Gye family can get (one) more alpha seed(s) but Yoon Gye has to come personally and receive guiding.
Wow, so that was the missing part. Thanks a lot. You are a lifesaver. It was bothering me all the night.
