Tei says Shuraka's fluids are toxic, and I believe him! But it looks like they may be aphrodisiac as well. I wonder if the urge to take out one's siblings stems from the possibility they could all breed uncontrollably like rabbits otherwise and the fight for leadership could last centuries just a dumb thought lol.
I like how everyone looks different, even though I don't mind that much when they all look similar because of the art style, I love how pouty Chase - so pretty! I like his plan to spend all his ruts with Josh, because it means he trusts him. How miserable he must have been to fear his own rut so much
She is making well thought out arguments, which may or may not be her sentiments as well as her father's. I would ask the King to negotiate a settlement where the duke acknowledges his guilt and pays or gives up his position. And then smite the duke on accident. I do want to hear Agnes's real opinion.
The changes she's noticing in Anatol is a reminder that she hadn't even been there a year yet. I'm hoping her father is too embarrassed to retaliate but he doesn't seem to know he humiliated himself by getting caught beating his own injured child who is known as a war hero by the princess and her father.
It has taken too long - although it seems longer because so much has happened, and it's only been a year - but finally! Finally are they having this talk. He can finally say how long he's loved her and she can finally say why sending her away without explaining or making her feel useless have a bigger impact than he knows. I hope her father dies!
I see! A child born to Shuraka's concubine will be accepted as Shuraka's heir! The bloodline is not broken, his brother doesn't want the throne, Shuraka doesn't have to be with anyone else, and Shuraka has taken out anyone who would have fought him about paternity or tried to take his place. They're all good! It would have been REALLY GREAT IF HE COULD HAVE EXPLAINED ALL THAT ON THE TRIP HOME jeez.
Oh my gawd I hope he's dead! And gets healed so Riftan can kill him again! How long you think it'll take Maxi to accept that Riftan doesn't think she's too pathetic for being beat, or whatever her worry was that kept her from telling him all this time? I want her to feel safe and loved and hope Riftan has found the capacity to give her that!

I love how Maxi has the confidence to get angry now. When she confronts Riftan, she's not afraid of his temper or that he won't like her anymore for standing her ground. And now she's going from intimidated to outraged at her father's lies. I hope Riftan can see how much she needs to tell the king EXACTLY what her father has done. I thought maybe her sister would testify too. Ah, and how funny is that her father has a stutter.
