For all the talk about how terrible Sugusato is, how problematic Sugusato shippers are, and how we're supposedly ruining the fandom, most of us are just reading doujins, sharing fanart, writing fics, and talking about characters we like.

Meanwhile, there are people spending hours searching for content they hate, arguing under posts they don't enjoy, creating new accounts after being blocked, and sending threats to strangers.

And somehow we're supposed to be the unreasonable ones?

At this point, I don't think some of you hate Sugusato.

I think some of you have made hating Sugusato part of your personality.

Because I cannot imagine dedicating this much time, energy, and emotion to something I dislike.

When I don't like a ship, I scroll.

When I don't like a manga, I drop it.

When I don't like a creator, I mute them.

I move on.

I certainly don't spend my day chasing strangers across the internet over fictional characters.

That's the difference.

Sugusato is a hobby for me.

For some of you, hating Sugusato seems to be a full-time job.

Accept the harassment?

Accept the hostility?

Accept that fellow fans are being driven out of their own spaces?

No.

Why should we be the ones expected to leave spaces made for us?

Why are the people enjoying Sugusato expected to disappear, while the people obsessively seeking out Sugusato content just to spread negativity are treated as if they're the reasonable ones?

Because from where I'm standing, the people spending their day hunting down content they hate seem far more obsessed than the people simply enjoying content they love.

I've literally had fellow Sugusato shippers DM me saying they're too scared to comment publicly because of how hostile the comment sections have become.

Think about that for a second.

People are afraid to talk about a fictional ship under a doujinshi of that ship because they know there's a chance they'll get attacked for it.

How is that normal?

I just want to read doujins.

I just want to discuss Sugusato with other Sugusato fans.

That's it.

Yet somehow that's become impossible without someone showing up to start ship wars, spread hate, or make another account after being blocked.

Just ignore it.

Ignore what, exactly?

The threats?

The harassment?

The fact that people keep making new accounts every time they're blocked?

Do you think I haven't tried?

I block them.

They come back.

I block them again.

They come back again.

And that's the part I still can't wrap my head around.

All of this over JJK yaoi, mind you.

Not politics.

Not money.

Not something that actually affects people's lives.

A fictional ship.

I just wanted to read doujins, enjoy my favorite
dynamic, and talk about characters I like.

Why does that deserve threats?

Why does that deserve harassment?

Why does that deserve people making new accounts just to come after me?

I genuinely don't understand.

You can dislike my ship.

You can think it's terrible.

You can block me, mute me, scroll past me, and move on with your day.

But threatening another human being because they enjoy a fictional pairing?

How does that make sense?
