i know that he is Love interest #2 but he literally was an adult when the mc was in middle school so I only see a father-son relationship.
Please, I'm begging for the father/uncle relationship to stay at just that and they bring in a different similar in age, sweetheart kind of love interest. Like he FIONE but I just can't.
