I really like that in this part, Annette finally let go of their past relationship and that find it hard to understand Heiner’s grievances on her life choices. I also like the part that Heiner’s being miserable and pathetic over losing Annette and being treated as a complete stranger. From ex-husband to becoming a person of authority now. And Annette becoming a normal civilian. I feel like in this scene, he realized how much he needs Annette and that he is no longer significant to her anymore.

It def worth reading this, had to drop this story a lot of times but now, I didn’t regret picking it up again and reading the beautiful conclusion to this story. Will reread again !(▰˘◡˘▰)
