based on my understanding, minjun thought that jinhwan was talking bad about him but jinhwan explained that he was having a conversation with his best friend and that he was trying to cut ties with the people he hooked up before (hence the phone call; maybe he was describing someone he wants to cut ties with)

ok, this majorly bothered me too, i felt like that weird phone call wasn't resolved after they first slept together. i went back and reread it painstakingly, ugh. like my eyeballs gonna fall out, lol.
so in Chapter 18 we see Jinhwan's pov of how much he's into Minjun and he says how frightened he is that Minjun doesn't want a relationship with him... that's how much he's into him. they do the bangbang and Jinhwan doesn't feel any better or confident which is why he said on the phone in Chapter 10 (to his best friend who knows how much Jinhwan likes Minjun) that he "felt like shit" and he's still too scared to tell him how much he likes Minjun, using the excuse that he can see clearly in Minjun's face how much he likes Jinhwan...
so when we see his inner thoughts about "i like you" when they sleep together, that was THE moment he should have had courage to actually SAY it. everything might have played out differently,
and ten years later seeing how pissy Minjun is and how Jinhwan makes the extra effort shows how they both grown. cause now Minjun can be real and express his feelings when he couldn't before, and so can Jinhwan. and they work to keep it together cause they truly love each otherrrr...
