Honestly I’d talk to them and be honest if I’m uncomfortable. Whether you want to try something or not is your choice, and I believe people should respect each other’s boundaries. If you’re not comfortable with it, you don’t have to do it, even if it’s something they’re interested in it   reply

In my opinion, a story is well-written when the flow is easy to follow, the storyline makes sense, and it keeps you interested enough to continue reading. But I think it also depends on your perspective and the genre you're reading. Honestly, you dodged a bullet. If things already didn’t sit right with you before, that feeling usually exists for a reason.
