I saw this as a reply to a comment down there, so thought to put the message here.
She is "stupidly dumb" because ML is "stupidly smart", the writer had a very obvious idea of pairing 2 personalities rather than 2 people. If FL's thought bubbles are just speech bubbles, then ML's thought bubbles have thought bubbles. Both are extreme opposites of the other.
ML's personality makes him care bout only "interesting" things, and he will do anything to not be bored (he doesn't really have standard morals. Thus the destructive plot lines in the different endings). If FL wasn't the way she was, and was a normal girl, he would have zero interest in her, and the heroine would have been the "interesting one" for him.
Lastly, it's okay to not like her, everyone has preference. But she is perfect for this story, even if she is "stupidly dumb". (And personally, I find her weirdly charming.)
