I find this side's ending to be quite true to the OG story, the author didn't try to force their happiness likely because of how unrealistic it would be. It's pretty nice to see, actually. Although I would also lie to see them happy, it just doesn't work out.

I can't remember if it was supernatural or omegaverse (or niether?), but the MC worked at this place that had an ancient style decor, and the outside world was modern. The ML is a really wealthy patron, and at some point the MC gets scammed by his friend and is out of money.
