recently i’ve been seeing a lot of questions on the topic of “fujoshis” or “fudanshis” and why they fetishize men and/or underage malexmale ships. these questions are very valid because SOMETIMES what you see online can or will affect reality. i’m not saying in all cases but sometimes!! and if u know that there’s a line between what u can and can’t do then i applaud you.
if you enjoy reading bl in private then that’s fine, if you have friends that you know irl or are online friends that also like bl and are comfortable speaking about it then that’s great. but if someone has made themselves clear that it’s not their thing and they DONT like it, don’t get upset. u should respect that person and move on with ur life. u should also be able to take criticism! there’s a lot in this world and you choose to get upset over a Fake couple? learn from your mistakes and grow from them.
i personally like BL, but would i say i’m a fujoshi? no, i wouldnt. you wanna know why i wouldn’t? because most yaoi’s give false information upon the LGBT+ community, mostly focusing on the Bisexual males and Gay men. You see, i like BL but i atleast understand that there’s a difference from how reality goes and how fictional stuff goes. I’ve personally known people that were friends of mine that have befriended a gay or bi male just so they can get an inside look on their love life. i am no longer friends with that person. what i’m saying is, there’s a line between what you should do and what you shouldn’t. if you’re not sure, then i suggest u ask somebody for advice. its creepy sometimes. thanks xx

When fujoshis/fudanshis start shipping people in real life, it just becomes a fetishization of the LGBT+ community, and its really gross when they start doing it to their friends- i also knew someone like that, and they made everyone around them uncomfortable. I basically have a friend before who's been obsessed with yaoi and one time when we're having a lunch together with our LGBTQ+ couple friends, she asked which one of them was the top and bottom without hesitation or without checking the tone of her voice, she sound excited, giggling and it's obvious she's fantasizing them. The table was so awkward.
One of them told me later on that they feel uncomfortable when people ask them about those rude stuffs. I feel bad for them and I no longer friends with that crazy girl.
