this take might be too political but I believe that Kiriwo's action can be considered a desire to (r*p*) violate Iruma. I just realize it recently. His desire to possess and devour him feels metaphorical and parallel to how r**its behave.

yes, and he wanted iruma to despair. which makes the metaphor plausible if we look at it in a realistic angle. Kiriwo would have the power over him, thus Iruma would be haunted by the incident.
