I mean you can’t compare their level of jealousy because one has trauma, the other doesn’t, and Minato is more intense because of his trauma.
The trauma thing makes a lot of sense, but for some reason, the author is just dragging out this thing with the director. It's now all about doubts and trying to overcome the insecurities and issues the come with living in a homophobic society.
There are no stakes! Like the story isn't progressing at all anymore. It's like we're reading side stories. I really thought I'd enjoy this as much as Raeliana...
