as someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts, let me just say that this has the opposite effect on me.
I've literally been held at gunpoint over my sexuality. If the most I could say about my sexuality is that people make jokes about it online, I'd take that in a fucking heartbeat. Heterophobia isn't real. No one is a victim of their straightness. No one is oppressed or discriminated against for being straight. Y'all just want some oppression point......
homophobia was a really big problem when the majority of the population was "straight", because it just wasn't accepted. now though, heteros aren't a "dying breed", there aren't enough lgbtq+ people for discrimination of hetero. maybe just a mean comment or snark (or bias) against, but nothing as extreme as homophobia.
