I prefer the theory where male onegas and female alphas all start of as intersex from the get go and theres no "puberty" that confirms later on. king’s maker, triple crown is the sequel (learned that the hard way)
To explain it in more detail: King's maker has the very 1st season of this story while Triple Crown start with season 2. So yes, you have to read King's Maker first, but you can jump to Triple Crown when you start season 2 if you want to see the all the mature scenes. King's Maker doesn't have the mature scenes
