YESSSS I MEAN ML IS AN ASSHOLE THROUGH AND THROUGH BUT HE COMES AROUND SOON LIKE ABT TO FALL HEAD OVER HEELS AND HE FEELS JEALOUSY AND WORRY EVER SECOND HIM AND MC ARE APART, honestly he pmo till the end bc there so many times when he didn't need to be mean but he was, I mean there's worse out there BC the only bad part of ML is his personality, which becomes a running joke and problem, as in the MC tells that to his face and he gets upset lol
What I appreciate about the novel is how scattered the ML's thoughts were in his POV. He knew he was an asshole; he was so self-aware that it was frustrating as a reader lol. But he also knew that he should be making better choices when it comes to his relationship with the MC, but no he always choose the worse option. The ML, in the most convoluted fashion, has to take these impulsive probing to prove himself if their relationship was worth keeping. He has been a difficult man through and through and he wouldn't mind destroying this genuine connection; it's going to end anyway. But he is also hoping it does not coz he has been the happiest with the MC. Like he is just making his own problems because it cannot be just that easy for somebody like him to find a guy like the MC lol.
Both ML and MC are anxious, just the opposites of same spectrum.

Ok I read the whole novel, it was 40 chapters all together, I would recommend to read it, it's good but the ml personality stays trashy till the end, sorry for the spoiler, though him having a trash personality is part of the whole thing so it's kinda nice to not have a character go 180 after falling in love. The novel has written the characters well since they are flawed and it's acceptance of that which creates a really good written piece, the development of the characters themselves were good aswell (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
