the author isn't bad at writing romance, literally look at his mom's relationship?? that ship was pure GOLD
MC's romance was just the wrong choice tonally for this work (plus the age-gap is iky ngl)
any recs that involve the MC managing public perception of a celeb or public figure (himself or someone else)?
Especially BL but any genre is good!
Examples are Debut or Die, Shoot for the Stars, and (to a lesser degree) Payback.
Looking for BLs that have lots of politics in the plot? for example office/business politics, plot about royalty
some examples:
- Swapping
- Perfect Buddy
- Steel Under Silk
Thanks xoxo
Most of the ones I can think of are historical:

Saezuru has some intricate yakuza politics in the plot: https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/saezuru_tori_wa_habatakanai/
Bro you have the BEST taste. Proxy painter AND Barbarities AND beauty in the west chamber?? They're so good
Yes they're such amazing stories!! Feels like reading a novel sometimes, I'm surprised they aren't based on one.
Right, like they're seriously the best. I remember I first read Barbarities like last year, I came across it by accident, but it was so good And Proxy painter, too. I read Beauty of the west chamber back on the welcomics app lol. Spent so many coins for that one
My only best recommendation of politics with + yaoi -
