Before the timeskip I enjoyed how Dohu, who's clearly some level of neurodivergent, was understood by Juheon despite everyone else acting like he was a robot. Juheon understood that even if Dohu didn't know how to express it, he clearly cared for him. The start of the angst when Juheon saw the word doc was cliche and seen from a mile away but hey, I figured it would be resolved relatively reasonably. I get that Juheon had baggage that clouded his vision. But instead, this plotline has just dragged on and on.

And the funniest part is, Dohu couldn't have possibly gotten to know and like Juheon if they didn't spend time with each other for some reason at first, which in most romances happens through other contrived means like a shared class or misunderstanding. Dohu 'using' Juheon was clearly not just for writing his book but also to understand neurotypical characters, and he stopped taking notes because he learned to feel a connection. This whole arc could've been a few chapters where Juheon feels betrayed but comes to recognize Dohu's care and his mistake for treating him like a robot while Dohu suffers but comes to understand he needs to be more honest. This would still feature angst, misunderstanding, and reconciliation without the contrived time skip nonsense it turned into. Not to mention it feels like the fact that Dohu is a writer was barely depicted in depth throughout the story; just as a cheap tool to push the narrative along. It seems to have no effect on his personality, interactions, or relationships.
