Things could have gone a lot different if Q hadn’t made that impulsive choice and actually confronted him, but that’s just how things go sometimes. Once you say something, you can’t always take it back whether you meant it or regret it. He betrayed Q both personally and professionally and he just never got the chance to put things right.
