Honestly I love the fact that you talked about the side piece because nobody ever mentions how he was young when Wenxu Jiang picked him up and practically molested/groomed him. No one ever even mentions how he was beat up by Wenxu Jiang and r@ped many times. The relationship Jiang had with the boy was basically abused and abuser. The boy probably had Stockholm syndrome which led him to committing suicide. Him and Zhishu He’s story really broke me. Wenxu Juan really is a Mf that’s makes his problem everybody else’s problem and that letter that Wenxu Jiang wrote to his lover after his death really pissed me off because he didn’t even write a letter of remorse to the boy he mentally and physically tortured for four year nor did he feel any grief or guilt. The only reason why he started to care about the MC was because of his poor actions towards the MC in his last moments with him and not actually pure sadness over losing a loved one. I also feel like he wrote that letter to Zhishu He to feel better about himself and his ratched fucked up mind.
