My problem with new gen manga/manhwa and even the novels similar to this is it’s just doing too much all at the same time. Like there’s too much going on. It’s not a problem if it was portrayed well but it’s fast paced. I get why they call it SLOP. No creativity whatsoever. Everyone is doing the same damn plot and sometimes the ART sucks.
Like in this piece for instance we have the isekai troupe, hidden identity, master-slave troupe, a harem troupe, ex-fiancé yandere troupe, evil adopted sister, running away, cold father troupe… like gadayummmmm just pick one and do it really well. It’s like these new manga/ mahwa just want to add everything and see what sticks.
Also there’s too many narration than actual scenes. Like all the expositions are info dumped instead of actually showing it through the characters. The author refuses to trust the audience to piece information together anymore.

I’m surprised I’m not hating on this (as a professional hater). Ok if the dog shit manga still needs an ml then the ex husband would be the lesser evil. His main sin is indifference but I’d say indifference is better than manipulation and obsession. Ex husband didn’t know about the abuse ( ignorant) in his house but black hair delivered the grandfather to fl where she got beaten. ( before bank incident). And so far ex husband is doing everything right while black hair is still manipulating her for whatever reason.
I hate how incredibly helpless she is. I get that she didn’t covet the throne and everyone deliberately made her naive and isolated but damnnnnn where’s the line where we pick ourselves up and rise to the occasion?

Im reading the novel and an instant dropped for me…. I just don’t understand why she isn’t utilizing any thing she has. I wish she was just a bit more cunning and quick witted so she’d be more interesting to watch. I get trauma and low self esteem but wtf this was just abuse over abuse. She doesn’t even get back on anyone. She gets brutalized by her brother (cp) time and time again just for the ML to save her. Like it gets to a point you know. It’s so exhausting seeing her get fucked up by everyone. Don’t get me wrong she deserves some of it bc let’s be honest she ain’t no saint either.
One more thing, she doesn’t have any dream, ambition, aspiration the whole nine yards. She likes the ML but doesn’t do anything about it lol.

I came back just to say that Na haesoo or the author wrote her to be so male dependent and male centered. Her worth is always tied to the men around her. From her father, cheating ex husband, and now to this young guy. Like without the men around her, who is she truly? She gets pulled along because she has no clear identity (trauma, self esteem issue, long term survival mode etc) like I get it, But where’s the character development? It’s frustrating to watch her character because we’re all rooting for her but bro always disappoints. Ugh.
