For some reason, I don't want them to have sex. Yashiro, I think, feels that Doumeki is special only because he's impotent -- hence, making Doumeki out of reach when it comes to sex. Yashiro has a morbid 'curiosity' (not love yet (sorry, Doumeki ┗( T﹏T )┛) for Doumeki, and so, if they have sex this early on... something between them might chance for the worse. Ughhhh. It's like what happens when the novelty of anything new wears off.
P.S. I'm sure Doumeki has what it takes to keep Yashiro regardless of whether they have sexy time or not, but for the sake of the plot (yaaaaass, the plot) I personally don't want the sex... yet.

I understand where Taichi's fear comes from, but he is overthinking it. Just because his mom is homophobic, doesn't mean the rest of the people around them are! Regardless of the setting -- Japan or elsewhere -- there is a culture of tolerance... passers-by won't throw rocks at them for holding hands.
But it's really hard to face that fear of judgement. A lot of people go through that everyday, it's quite difficult to pass it off as nothing in just a breeze. Especially since they experienced it first-hand, more so from Taichi's own mother. Taichi must have been scared that Nao will have to go through that.

It is obvious that homesexual relationships have social constraints, but even hetero ones have hurdles too.
