Oi it’s been a total train wreck from chapter 30 on but it finally settled down at 40 for a minute. I was doubting Jinwoo but he really pulled through in chapter 40. I’m so glad he decided to tell Sarang what he’s been doing and it’s amazing to see him and Sarang’s relationship bloom. Red Shoes could have totally gone on with classic kdrama but thank the yaoi lords she made them communicate! I read the other chapters here:

The translated chapter 29 is there with all the sex glory and chapter 40 also had translated sex so those fujoshi can enjoy those too since TappyToon cuts all the sex scenes out

Ok so this topic gave me a lot to think about plus the people saying to reread the story.
http://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/3127189/
I went to reread some of the chapters and ended up rereading from chapter 30 and I then went and read the translations by Seren and I think from her I’ve been able to get a jist of what’s going on.

I think I’m starting to now understand this. I still think the characters and plot are stupid but I do understand what’s happening. This story started off as Jinha using the stone to see his ‘Fate’ which was Siwon and Seonyun getting between them with his stone, the object of his ‘Envy’ being Siwon. I think that Seonyun is genuinely taking a liking to Siwon and that’s why he gave back the real Fate stone to Jinha because he knows how to “play” Siwon from Jinha’s mistake and that if Siwon moves on from Jinha the Fate stone will be useless, so it’s ok for Jinha to have it. The mistake was that Jinha let a gap drift between him and Siwon, a gap of doubt, worry, and secrets that Seonyun thrived off. Seonyun took Siwon away so that he could distract Siwon from Jinha and make his move on Siwon.
But Siwon isn’t entirely stupid. He knew he fucked up which is why he wants to escape and meet with Jinha in the dreams but Seonyun also knows that. Seonyun knows that Jinha is the ‘fate’ that Siwon desires which is why he gave Siwon the fake stone to make him believe Jinha doesn’t want him and Seonyun used the Envy stone to keep them from meeting because he is envious of Jinha being Siwon’s ‘Fate’. Then Seonyun to my belief used the Envy stone AND unintentionally used the Fate stone and found himself with Siwon (thinking he was using just the Envy stone because Jinha was also there) Then the dream changed to the s&m, which I think is when Jinha arrived in the dream and Seonyun lost control and the following events were about not convincing Siwon but convincing Jinha that Siwon was his. That Siwon was fantasizing about Seonyun and that only Seonyun could bring him pleasure, which he read off the papers that HE created because it was HIS dream. I believe that the communication in the dream wasn’t between Seonyun and Siwon but Seonyun and Jinha. After Seonyun saw Siwon laying there at his most vulnerable state he picked Siwon up as a gesture that Siwon could only rely on Seonyun because the was literally and figuratively a wall growing between them. Seonyun then realized that Siwon was not the object of his ‘Envy’ but his ‘Fate’ and Jinha was the object of his ‘Envy’ while looking down on Siwon’s unconscious body.

From there Seonyun tells Jinha that he has “felt a warmth that I’ve never felt before”, “I’ll take it from you by force”, “unlike you I will be sincere”, “I will use his heart”, “won’t make a difference if you use the Fate stone”, “I intend to make him mine in every way”, “you and Siwon will definitely break up”.
Seonyun now believes that Siwon is his ‘Fate’ and that his object of ‘Envy’ is Jinha. He knows that when Jinha got jealous there grew the gap of doubt, worry, and secrets plus the dreams went into chaos which ruined their relationship so that’s why Seonyun is saying that he’ll go by heart instead of stone because the stones caused chaos. He also said he’ll be forward with Siwon to avoid the gap that Siwon and Jinha had. So Seonyun gave Jinha the stone back because he knows that once he wins Siwon over the stone will be useless because Jinha won’t be able to visit Siwon if Siwon loves Seonyun.
So Seonyun uses his heart and kindness to try and win Siwon on the island and because Siwon believes that Jinha no longer wants him (because he never saw Jinha during the dream and still believes that Jinha doesn’t want to see him) he’s on an island where he puts his phycological and physiological needs in Seonyun, a classic move of a kidnapee to kidnapper because there is nothing else or no one else to rely on, except Seonyun. Which is why Siwon invites Seonyun to take a walk despite not liking him. Humans are social and dependent creatures and what Seonyun did was make Siwon only capable of relying on him. And it’s working, sadly.
So when Jinha goes to the temple again he’s beating himself up about letting Siwon go and the guy at the temple reveals that the Envy Stone only works if the owner is envious.

And this is where the big OMFG happens, Chapter 67.
For the last 66 chapters the Fate Stone has been used by Jinha to reach Siwon, his object of ‘Fate’ and the Envy Stone has been used by Seonyun to get between Jinha and Siwon, Siwon being the object of his ‘Envy’.

Now since Seonyun likes Siwon if he were to use the Envy Stone is would still be to get between Jinha and Siwon only this time, Jinha being the object of his ‘Envy’.
But he knows that using dreams to get to Siwon or acting with violence (like he did when he punched those homophobic boys who poured water on Siwon) is a turn off to Siwon so he can’t use those methods to get to Siwon like Jinha did or else he would also get disapproval and grow a gap between him and Siwon. So he will not use his stone to interfere between them, he will use heart and be straightforward with Siwon which he thinks will win Siwon over. THEREFORE the Fate Stone will be useless if Jinha tries to reach Siwon, his object of ‘Fate’ because Seonyun is already winning him over by using just his heart (aka lies and manipulation)
BUT
The temple guy said that the Envy Stone only works when the owner is envious of the fated pair. Since Seonyun has said he isn’t going to use the stone it means the stone has no power therefore he is no longer envious. Which means that the relationship between Siwon and Seonyun is already set into motion because Seonyun is already manipulating Siwon’s heart and the only way to save and win back Siwon is by going after Seonyun and making Seonyun like Jinha again but since the innocent/helpless trope has already been snagged from Jinha to Siwon, Jinha has to resort to a new technique so he appeals to Seonyun’s s&m fantasy when he seeks Seonyun in his dreams, which is why he turns into a DaDdY!

This is just a reiteration with minor tweaks of Foolishkooks analysis but this is what I think is happening. If anyone has some other ideas or input that’s fine too.

I read 65 here:

What is Seonyun didn’t even need to use the jealousy stone? Your way would still work it’s just that he didn’t need to block Siwon and Jinha if neither of them had the real fate stone so maybe he just let them suffer in silence and then yes, used the jealousy stone to summon both of them - or so he thought- but really summoned Jinha with the jealousy stone and Siwon by the fate stone in his pocket that he later gives back to Jinha? Everything else you said though I agree with. I’m going to give those links a look through and I’ll be back with anymore thoughts.
