Wait I wanna add another thing, yaoi authors are OBSESSED with adding a white or very pale skinned characters to their works for some reason. Like this actually could’ve been such an interesting premise if they made it an Indigenous man x Black man. But then again, lots of yaoi authors don't know how to draw Black ppl… An additional note, just because some stories have diversity doesn’t mean that POC need to eat it up. When ppl complain about lack of diversity that doesn’t mean give us the bare minimum and get mad when we don’t wanna have it. NOTHING is creative about a basic slave x master plot. Let me first say this, for any other POC who wanna come on here, just because you have Iraq/Assyrian cultural roots or any other racial background, doesn't give you the right to try and play oppression olympics with Black and Indigenous people who THIS story actually affects. If you want people to talk about an ISIS bride having a slave, user Angie, then actually SPEAK UP. Stop relying on Black/Indigenous people to speak for you because trust, no one knows about this since it seems like you only want to bring it up to defend a mediocre yaoi. If this is so much of a fictional story user Angie (and everyone who agrees with them), then why waste your time writing a paragraph trying to defend it?

And I think the most funniest thing is how dumb some ppl are getting on here to cry about how "everyone is canceling this author but no one ever says anything about other authors, this must mean you’re performative activists". Let me be the one to tell you, from what I've seen, this author has a fandom. One side of this fandom are mature people who know how to put their words to use, and the other side... are porn brained ngas who eat up shit given to them on a plate.

The reason why other authors don't get this flack is because their fandoms are filled up of ppl in the second group, the ppl with major porn addictions who can't put the yaoi down for even a second, AKA all the ppl who are trying to defend this. Get Schooled is a racist Korean webtoon that everyone fought tooth and nail against and despite getting canceled on the English side, it STILL got a drama adaptation with lots of praise. As at the end of the day, Jaxx took the initiative to cancel her own story, but had she continued it, it would have been like any other popular slave x master yaoi the ppl love on here. Unfortunately, we can be as loud as we can but if the author themselves don’t care then the story ain’t getting cancelled, there's your answer. PS. orientalist slop is always getting talked about, no one is jumping anyone for talking about it, you guys would know if you stepped out of mangago for one second.
