The recent chapters show an implication that he may have feelings for his aunt. But of course, we're only getting the pov's from FL and the cousin - so this could all be misconstrued by them. That's why OP made this comment, that they'll let it marinate for now, in case, the author really pushes it to a weird, incest direction.
