It’s not a misunderstanding, the subae is DL and introducing his future wife to the man he’s supposedly in love with to manipulate the man into still confessing that he loves him before he decides whether to break off his own engagement. The sunbae is vile and deserves to die alone. Using a poor woman’s feelings and dragging mc along after all these years when he could’ve easily just confessed his feelings?
I understand u! It was a very unfortunate considering they were so into each other but then again yes what he did to the uke later was straight up selfish and obnoxious. Do I think Jiwon still wants Sunbae? Nope. But their past relationship still haunts him, and getting proper closure might finally set him free and move on to next relationship without being anxious and all
