This comic is rage bait I usually give all comics 20 chapters to interest me but I just feel rage baited. Ch22 and so far it's a classic mistreated by family story only she's mistreated by EVERYONE except the male lead ofc. It's just a little hard to read for me as it's the usual trope of a girl needing a guy to save her and not being able to do anything on her own ( I know she was abused but she really made no plans to leave?? No plans to leave the prince as well?? And super rich and powerful guy receives her help and just HAPPENS to fall in love with her immediately?? It's kind of giving y/n vibes) , and I could overlook this but there's no comedy, the plot isn't that interesting so far aside from the rage bait, I don't find the female lead likeable yet, the villains are a little one dimensional, and I usually enjoy reading the development of romance between the main characters but the ml already likes her… and she's probably 10 chapters away from liking him as literally everyone else hates her. I think a well done hated character story compared to this is the villainess reverses the hour glass.
She’s a victim of continuous abuse ofc she’s not going to be able to stand for herself when you really understand that and what she went through you can feel proud of the little retaliatory acts or words she did before leaving for vikander territory and I’m pretty sure when she gets there her confidence will get better and she will be able to stand proud

he didn’t immediately fall in love with her. if you read it shows that she was constantly sending letters to him and they were frequently sending letters back in forth. though she used an alias he figured out it was her and has been interested/liked her ever since.
I've literally been abused by my family for YEARS and the first thought I had once realising it was abuse was to escape that environment. I do understand people respond to abuse differently I just hate tropes where a woman in unable to be independent and succeed on her own. And again as I said in my comment I could overlook all of that if she was likeable but her character isn't interesting at all she's a very bland mc so I can't overlook other parts of the story.
Yh I read that bit but they've never really met tho and the second they meet he's instantly ready to propose to her. Honestly my main issue with the story is that the mc isn't that likeable so I can't enjoy it besides that.
First problem “I” you’re thinking of you maybe take her perspective and her actual time she live in it’s not 2026 where women were encouraged to be independent I don’t honestly understand why you think she hasn’t been independent there’s been a few situations already where she already stood up for herself independently and her man was there to protect her when things went wrong I respect your opinion while I don’t agree with it maybe find another book.
You do realize that victims of abuse deal with abuse in different ways? If you hate the story so much, stop reading it. She is written to be finding herself, she has literally be living as a doll for a family who did not care for her. It seems as though you did not read the story and are just making any excuse to hate on a story because it doesn't fit your definition of abuse victims.

True I agree with Ur point but if it's directed towards a modern audience I would want modern aspects of it. Again my main issue isn't even that I just think the fml is dry. But this is just my opinion we can all have personal preferences in the stories we enjoy hope this helps!!

I've also been abused for years and when I learned how to fight back, I did but I know that everyone isn't like me because people react differently. Do you know Gabriel Fernandez? Despite being severely abused that he was treated like a dog by his own family he still fucking wished that his mother would give him a slither of affection even when they beat him to death and his skull was as soft as a crunchy with how much abuse he took. Bruh why did everyone just attack you. I think its quite clear what you're going for. Hell your criticisms are common ones for this genre. Why are pretending like bland fmc aren't a known criticism of these types of stories? Thats the reason so many think of this genre as the "female romance version of male reincarnation shlock". It's okay for OP to feel the FMC is too bland and dependent for their liking especially when there are a plethora of stories that have done this trope with more active MCs. This comment was just explaining why OP was dropping the story but I guess everyone felt the need to take that personally. Just down vote the comment you dislike and go, its an opinion. The plot twist ans the characters are so well written and although Judith was a villain at some point I can understand why she was like that, giving up her whole life to raise this child that's not hers with little to no money and this also hindering her own chances of getting married. Ugh I'm gonna miss this story.
I think the most haunting was also when she realized that luca didnt look like her sister, so to her luca looked just the the man that "ruined" her beloved sister, and after being depressed for so long her grief turning into anger towards someone she actually cares about, the little kid she has take care of, the only family she has left. So complex I love judith so much, sooooo well done this story wow, just wow
