Started with like 3 time skips right off the back and getting a whole lot of “tell not show” moments. Everyone is commenting on what a cute couple they are, but they look awkward af standing next to each other and not in a cute way. Lmao, chemistry where??? Didn’t think the dude was hot when he’s introduced as the guy who murders people at the drop of a dime for a simple mistake. I thought he was childish when the reader is first introduced to him and it honestly has not changed. Has the ML said anything genuinely nice to her without it being backhanded or completely ignoring her wishes?
I just wish there was more of a build-up to their relationship developing than the literal 2nd chapter where this tyrant king looks at a conventionally pretty girl and his heart immediately goes Doki Doki. His personality is like painted over paper máche. Bland as shit, and what little I do see does not please me.
I guess I’m disappointed b/c I thought this would be more of a girl-boss thing where we see the MC handle the intricate details of her job. Dealing with politics, struggling under the MLs test to meet the deadline under fear of death, and him slowly appreciating her for her effort and hard work. Nope, just watching MC not even understand what a school-girl crush is. Like, you read a freaking ROMANCE novel before transmigrating, how tf do you not know what… feelings are?!????????
