I love Yeri’s character a lot. Maybe I’m biased because I see myself a lot in her, but I also like her because she is so.. realistic!
In relationships, it isn’t always butterflies and rainbows. Internal and external conflicts are inevitable. While many label her as a “complex character”, I just see her as a very normal person navigating very humane fears
Because Jisung only shows Yeri his best self, she mistakenly thinks he’s perfect and feels like she can’t measure up. She feels inferior because she’s comparing her internal doubts to the perfect outside version Jisung presents to her ,,,,,
This inferiority eventually takes a toll on Yeri— making her feel ashamed that she feels that way for her partner, which is why she decided that it’d be better to break things off. However, for me, isn’t that just proof that she loves him the same amount Jisung loves her? She didn’t want him to sacrifice any more opportunities because of her insecurities, so she decided to let him go :,)
It might be hard to understand, but they just have different ways of expressing love… and... isn’t that just how life is? Sometimes you can love someone deeply but still hurt them because you express it differently than they do. (P.S. That’s not a bad thing! I’m sure both sides will eventually learn and accept how the other expresses their affection, as someone going thru the exact. same. thing… hehe)
And, anyway, feeling bad about yourself doesn't make your love less real :)

To everyone who has read the novel, can you tell me what specific chapter / side story Jeremy and Sylvia interact? I love these two so much ... and I've only just now heard that they have a cute moment in the side story .... ( or any chapter they have interactions ... hehe )
I had really high expectations. At first, she was so relatable.. but then everything just happened so quickly. I didn’t really care much about the office drama, I wished this wasn’t so short so we could read more about HER character and her struggles. I won’t deny that there are parts where I see myself in her and that I shed a couple tears, but this didn’t really pull my heartstrings like I thought it would :,)
