It's supposed to be Qin Yu not Tai Yu. And his family members are supposed to be Qin not Tai.
So far she's kinda annoying but her character may turn out to be better as the story progresses. And he's just a typical good looking straight A student.

I think the virus was in the broken jar in the back room of the shed. Natsuko probably broke it that day that she locked herself in the shed and got infected that's why she was sick for a few days. She's also probably the one writing the letters unconsciously. （￣へ￣）
