Are we all forgetting that Rok raped him?
I'm not forgetting and normally it would be enough for me to drop what I'm reading but also the rape in question didnt feel like poor writing or weird fetish bait. I genuinely think that with the way these two are written Rok recognizes he did wrong and is trying to atone for his actions in a very roundabout way while je-oh doesn't seem to care about it long term. Idk if it's just cause he's used to being forced or because he's excusing Rok's behavior but he doesn't seem to give a shit about it atp so it's hard as a reader to dwell on it. I don't really like that rape was involved to get these two to recognize their feelings but also these two characters are so fucked up normal morals and rationality does not apply.
Given the scene with the rape with the blonde guy and the scene with Jeoh, you can tell that Jeoh did not take that moment with Seongrok as ārapeā, more so that Seongrok was letting his emotion and jealousy get the best of him and wasnāt listening or trusting Jeoh. Even the upcoming chapter, Jeoh was more angry that Seongrok didnāt have faith in him. Seongrok however still acknowledged his wrong doing.
but thatās the problem, itās hard /not/ to dwell on it because of the fact that jeoh was consistently sexually assaulted throughout his life and seongrok was supposed to be his āsaviorā. seongrokās character was painted as so far from what jeoh was used to vs what he deserved so for seongrok to have done that completely shattered that narrative.
Im definitely with you there but at the moment I can't tell if shattering that image was what the author intended or if rok raping je-oh was simply a "realistic" by product from them both bottling up all their feeling/plans from each other. Rn I'm thinking that it's both but also I don't think the author wanted seongrok to come off as the same as all of the men that've raped je-oh before. In a way they did accomplish that considering Rok did what he did out of a full emotional breakdown instead of lust like the other guys. Like I said before I'm not excusing or forgetting his actions (and honestly if I knew someone that had to deal with this scenario irl I'd fight their partner in a heartbeat and get them arrested) it's moreso I'm more curious to see where this goes and how their relationship goes from here considering they have a barely functional and codependent relationship built on shared trauma, murder, and hatred for the same people.
yeah, i can definitely understand your pov in the sense that it can be seen as a realistic outcome based on the fact that theyāre both incredibly mentally unstable and broken individuals and normalcy probably isnāt present in the way they function as people or partners. i really do wish it hadnāt happened this way but i can understand it given that context. letās see how the rest of the story unfolds, iāve been around for years and itās my all time favorite manhwa so iām going to see it through to the endāletās hope itās worth it.

New chapter when????
