Reading this kind of story always makes my heart ache a little, because I'm like the older man. I've dealt with suicidal thoughts for a long time, and ultimately, it's the thing I care about most. I live life without grand goals, but I know I'll live a relatively short life because I don't see myself giving up on suicide.
.
In the end, there wasn't a big twist in the story, nor any great lessons about healing, because sometimes that's just how it is. It's about having to live life as long as you can after a failed attempt.
.
Happy that the older man gave up trying again. Unfortunately, that's not my case.
It went from 0 to 100 very quickly in volume 2, it felt like I was reading a Harada manga ??!!?!?
