I don’t know what I find more funny, people complaining about a plot that hasn’t fully developed or people thinking just because the ML of this story is on the prettier side, it makes him less of a man..yall do realize..pretty men exists right? I don’t think this is a matter of the author not knowing how to draw male characters
I had dropped this a while back because I didn’t like the way things were going and had a feeling the angst would continuously build up with the love triangle being introduced. I’m glad I let it marinate until it was completed to finally be able to understand my actual thoughts about the story. Frustrating as it was, I’m not gonna sit here and act like it wasn’t well written. It was and showed realistic sides of human emotions that make things like these very complicated. Understanding and coming to the realization that you really love someone, especially your FIRST love is so intense that making rational decisions can be difficult. I say this as a 20 year-old who had experiences concerning my romantic relationships, but was still unsure what I felt for those people so It never lasted. Even now, I feel like I might never understand it but it takes time..and I’m glad that aspect was a key factor in the story. Time to themselves was important for all them. I know most people are upset that Cain didn’t end up with the Jooin…but knowing Cain liked him because of their past lives already showed me the types of issues they would have. He reminisced about someone that didn’t exist anymore and willingly chose to ignore how much things had changed. I don’t know why, but that instance reminded me of when you have a crush on someone in the past and then you meet them again in the present and you’re surprised that they have changed because you cling so much to what they used to be when they caught your eye. Even if the author had chosen to go by what fans wanted, them ending together wouldn’t have made sense. Also, the author was able to make Yahwi’s redemption arc make sense so that’s why I wasn’t even mad they ended up together. His character in the end is STARKLY different from how we were first introduced to him. overall, I give this story a 8.5/10 ..simply because I do admit I was getting frustrated as well
Thank you! It’s irritating reading the comments of ppl bitching about jooin not ending up with Cain..as if we weren’t all reading Cain continuously force himself on jooin over THE PAST. They were never going to be end game, not when Cain would forever cling to his history with jooin’s previous life. Expecting them to be together was unrealistic from the start :-:

Brett is the type of character I always end up getting attached to I’m ngl…the type of person that is not typical yet because of that, he naturally attracts people..it’s a plus if they’re attractive. I don’t know I feel like this author put so much details into this story it’d be too long to explain..but just know the setting, their upbringing, their values..both of them being alphas makes a lot of sense for the direction their characters took.
Aside from my praise, I was uncomfortable with their sex scenes sometimes. The only normal one I thought they had was when they went to Hayden’s home and did it in his room. Every other sex scene was them trying to one up each other or assert dominance on the other person. Their relationship was never normal to begin with so it did come across uncomfortable sometimes. Regardless, the plot was very entertaining and I found myself eagerly waiting for the next one. It’s one of those stories where their dialogue was much more interesting than me wanting snu snu..
I do wish him being sexually assaulted had been explored more tho. I enjoyed the way the author went about recounting those events but I do think this moment could’ve been one where we saw Brett vulnerable..not trying to turn the situation in his favor then again you could argue that’s what makes his character even more interesting.
